The Client's Challenge

The client's website was outdated and they often had trouble keeping everything up to date due to the rapidly changing nature of their large test portfolio. They were also facing issues with their current web hosting company at the time and wanted to host the new website in-house with their other web applications. It was also important that the Test A-Z data was linked to their internal LIMS system, so the data only needed updating in one place.

We are happy with the outcome after being let down by our previous hosting company that was taken over.

The Solution

As an addition to the client portal, the solution was a modernised website in the same technology stack as their client portal. We built an API that interfaced with their LIMS Database and had the website make calls to the API to display the latest test information. Taking this further, we were able to integrate the PDF Downloads with their internal LIMS system, allowing certain users within their company to update documents available on the website without IT support. We also integrated their customer portal API with the registration form which enabled their customers to register for the portal through the website. This kept things familiar for Micropathology's customers as they were used to registering for price lists this way already.
